Some of you don’t understand how billionaires make their money and it shows. Tumblr is like “eat the rich” until the rich literally get eaten.
I don’t want anyone to die a pointless death but these people, by virtue of how wealth is amassed, have blood on their hands. I’m not the least bit upset that people are memeing on OceanGate and this completely absurd and avoidable situation.
It’s sucks one of them is 19 but screaming about cruelty and empathy is pointless virtue signaling for the sake of trying to look like a soft-hearted empathetic person. That’s not true empathy, that’s a front.
Fuck it. Be ghoulish. Remember when assholes in NYC were drinking champagne on their balconies while people protested in the streets during the Occupy movement? Have any of the ruling class said anything empathetic about the bodies that litter our borders and seas?
We all know the billionaire class doesn’t give a fuck about us. The rich chucklefuck Titanic tourists are part of the same population that consistently lobbies against protections for the poor and oppressed, healthcare access, labor regulations, etc.
At the end of the day, if I could wave a magic wand and save them, I would. Dead shitty humans are still humans. But I’m not at all upset that people feel a sense of ironic, comedic cosmic justice in this.
If you want to feel a self-righteous sense of piety by bitching at those of us who find this kinda funny, good luck with your white knight campaign. You look a bit like a clown though.
Cracking jokes about the tin can science fair death-tube isn’t violence, it’s morally neutral. We’re frustrated and tired.
